Notes on Cyphostemma
As part of the long collaboration that I have undertaken with the Cactus & Co. Association for the preparation of their magazine, it also happened to receive beautiful images of plants portrayed in nature, then used to illustrate articles written to the need. It is a case of these ‘notes on the genus Cyphostemma’ that I published to employ in the best way some beautiful photos of the South African researcher Ernst J. van Jaarsveld. A few years earlier I had been able to buy specimens of different species of Cyphostemma from a well-known German merchant, for which I already had a certain familiarity in the cultivation of these very interesting plants.
