Already known as Epithelantha micromeris var. egregia from Cuesta la Muralla (Coahuila. Mexico). It is a type with a stocky and voluminous stem that assumes a cylindrical shape and that branches over time. Sometimes it has long black and fragile spines, which remain more or less long only in the apical part of the specimen.
