Semi-arborescent aloe, widespread in South Africa and some other neighboring countries. Sometimes acaulescent, more often over the years forms a trunk thickened at the base, about 1 m tall. The leaves, long and folded downwards, take on a beautiful light green color with orange hues. The inflorescence is a long simple spike (hence the name of the species).
