Hoya spartioides

(Benth.) Kloppenb.

Item Code: PN6736

The species with the most original form of the entire Hoya genus, characterized by a strong xeromorphism (growth form adapted to conditions of high water scarcity) in which the leaves are rudimentary and are formed only in the first juvenile stage of development. Photosynthesis is carried out by the long peduncles of the flowers.
Growth is relatively slow, especially in the juvenile stage.
These are plants of complex cultivation, unsuitable for beginners, which during the summer growth period require stable maximum temperatures of 25 °C and very high air humidity. They cannot tolerate direct watering.

Reproductions from seed of our mother plants.
